Brief Description: Main wheel fairing installation preparation
I began today by reviewing the main wheel fairing installation. First I fitted the front and back half of each fairing together to check the fit. I had to sand the aft face of the front half of the fairing to attain an even joint line. Then I marked a center line along the top of each fairing and fastener hole locations along the joint followed by drilling and clecoeing the front and back half of the fairings together. I finished the day by elevating the fuselage off the ground so the gear legs are in a relaxed position as they would be in flight and then leveled the fuselage laterally and longitudinally.
